Cutting with
Laser
Precision laser cutting is an efficient and highly accurate cutting method compared to plasma cutting and other sheet cutting processes.
- We cut Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium
- We use laser cutting technology guaranteeing a superior quality finish
- Laser cutting is a faster cutting process. This reduces machine time which in turns brings savings to the customer
- We cut up to 25mm thickness with a 4,000mm length and a 2,000mm width
- There is a superior cut-edge quality and no burrs with tolerances within 0.2mm
- Reduced heat is produced during the laser cutting process as opposed to plasma and oxy acetylene methods of cutting so there is less distortion in the material
- There is also no oxidation of the cut edge thus eliminating rework of edges
- Minimise sheet waste through our nesting process, resulting in reduced costs for you
Cutting with
Water
Water Jet cutting uses an ultra-high pressure stream of water to carry an abrasive grit, leaving a smooth, precision cut surface. Water jet is the most versatile process when cutting thick materials.
- We mostly cut Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Plastic and Aluminium, but we can typically cut any flat material
- Water jet cutting technology guarantees a superior quality finish on thicker materials
- We cut up to 50mm thickness with a 4,000mm length and a 2,000mm width
- Water jet is a cold cutting process and no heat is generated during the process so the internal properties of the materials does not change
- There is also no oxidation of the cut edge thus eliminating rework of edges
- Minimise sheet waste through our nesting process, resulting in reduced costs for you
- Water jet cutting is a preferred alternative to a conventional milling cutting process due to the reduced machine time
We are experts in ‘Engineering with Steel’ and our state-of-the-art in-house laser and water jet cutting machinery enables us to deliver precision every time.
